It’s been about 4 years since I last spent time working on my portfolio site, so the time seemed about right to do a complete overhaul of it.
My old portfolio site, mental-distortions.com, will be retired soon, though I will maintain ownership of the domain. I’ve had a 10 year relationship with it, so parting with it is a little tough, but at the same time, I’m no longer the fresh-faced kid out of college trying to be cool by picking out a weird domain name.
This version of the site is built with WordPress 3. I had flirted with the idea of moving to Expression Engine 2, but decided that I needed to get the site up sooner rather than later, so I went with what I knew, though admittedly, this site has taken me much longer than I’d originally thought it would for me to build.
I will still be tweaking things over the next few days, so things could very well change, but I don’t foresee anything too drastic at this point.
I still plan building a site with Expression Engine as my “learning project”, though when that will happen and what that project will be is still tentative.
So, once more, I welcome you to my new site. Feel free to take a look around and let me know what you think in the comments or through the form on the Contact page.
Cheers!
P.S. This site is best viewed with Google Chrome or Fire Fox. But if you must use IE, I guess you could use it, but it won’t run as smoothly.
