Where have I been the past few months?

Where did I go? I'm SO confused!

You know, when I originally launched this site, I fully intended to make an honest effort to at least try to blog once a month. Clearly things did not go as planned and so this site has been somewhat neglected the past few months. But fear not. I will do my best to try again. It may not always be web/design related, but I’ll try to write something for my single digits of visitors.

So, what have I been up to in all this time since I last made any sort of updates to this site? Well, in mid-December of 2010, I began what was supposed to be a 3 month contract at BMO Bank of Montreal. I was contracted, through an agency, to help with some design work for their online communities initiatives. The big one being the BMO SmartSteps for Parents community site. Once the site launched, I started helping out with some of the more day-to-day work, such as HTML email design, maintenance items for the main site, UX design and wireframing for internal projects, and so on. By the end of March, when the contract was just about done, I was given an extension until the end of June.

Now as May is drawing to a close and 1 month remains of my contract, some of the projects I had been working on have rolled out and I can finally show some of the work I’ve done.  The designs mainly keep with pre-established branding guidelines, so it’s nothing out of the box, but I just thought I would share a few of the projects that have turned out well.

As for my blogging, I’ll do my best to try to blog more regularly and to find my rhythm and style in writing. Although I did have one other thing I wanted to write about, and that is that I had a very interesting conversation with someone the other day. She was talking to me about how whenever she gets sick of something common and not too serious like a cold for example, she had great natural medicine solutions that would get rid of it very quickly. I just go get cold medicine usually, but now I’m kind of curious and I’ll probably try it her way a couple of times to see if it works our. Wish me luck! Oh and if you would like to try it out yourself as well, here you can learn about medicinal plants.

Till next time!
